I have to begin by disclosing some level of bias here. I have been wearing Shoei RF-series helmets for several years (all the way back to the RF-700). I have always found them a good value, comfortable, and quiet. They also fit my head.

Product Review: Shoei RF-1000 Helmet

Shoei has been protecting the brains of motorcycle riders for 40 years and their latest lids combine that experience with the latest in state of the art helmet building technology to bring us the RF-1000. What exactly does the mumbo-jumbo about four decades of experience mean to you and I? It means that helmets these days are so much better that it is just plain silly not to go out and get a replacement for that helmet you bought back in the mid 90s.
Shoei RF-1000 Motorcycle Crash Helmet Product Review
The latest in Shoei's great RF series of motorcycle safety helmets, the Shoei RF-1000, retains many of the features of its predecessors, including great crash protection, but adds additional features such as improved aerodynamics. By Mark Zimmerman.
